TERMS & CRITERIA
A fund has been established in the name of Major James B. Russell from the estate of Irene Alexander Russell. The fund, currently valued at about $20,000, is to provide bursaries to students studying Engineering at The University of Manitoba.
The available annual interest* on the fund (or about $1,100 at current interest rates) is to be offered each year to students who:
(1) are enrolled as full-time students (minimum 28 credit hours) in an undergraduate program in any department in the Faculty of Engineering;
(2) have achieved good academic standing with a minimum sessional awards G.P.A. of 3.0 on the regular session most recently completed;
(3) have demonstrated financial need on the standard University of Manitoba bursary application form.
The selection committee shall be the Faculty of Engineering Scholarships, Bursaries and Prizes Committee.
