TERMS & CRITERIA
The John McKechnie Memorial Scholarship representing the income from $6,000 of bonds is paid annually to the student in the third year Civil Engineering course:
(1) who applies therefor (while in the second year);
(2) who in his second year of that course shall have attained the highest, or at least satisfactory marks in his classes;
(3) who is of good character and general ability; and
(4) who is deserving of financial assistance to complete his course.
The selection committee:
The President of the University;
The Chancellor of the University;
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and,
Two other persons who are to be nominated by the donor, or, failing such nominations, are to be selected by the said three officials.
Any second year student planning to enter third year Civil Engineering who wishes to be considered for this scholarship should obtain an application form from the Financial Aid and Awards Office, or Dean, complete it and return it to the Financial Aid and Awards Office not later than a date to be determined by the Director of Student Awards.
