That the Senate approve and recommend to the Board of Governors the re-establishment of the Joseph Doupe Gold Medal in Civil Engineering. The award of the medal was temporarily discontinued owing to insufficient funds being available for its purchase. An additional amount of $500 has now been given to the University which will bring the fund to an amount sufficient for the annual purchase of the medal.
It is further recommended that the award be made to the student coming second in the aggregate of the marks for fourth year in Civil Engineering, this being in accordance with the wish of the donor Mr. J.L. Doupe, who has also agreed that in case of special circumstances arising, the University will have the authority to alter the terms of award.
