Manitoba Hydro Professional Engineers’ Association (MHPEA) Bursary

The Manitoba Hydro Professional Engineers’ Association (MHPEA) is a volunteer organization established to promote and protect the interests of Professional Engineers while employed at Manitoba Hydro. MHPEA will contribute an annual gift of $2,000 to the University of Manitoba to support students who are continuing their studies in the Faculty of Engineering. Beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year, two bursaries valued at $1,000 each will be offered to undergraduate students who:

(1) are enrolled full-time (minimum 60% course load) in the third year of study in the Faculty of Engineering;
(2) have achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 2.5;
(3) are involved in extra-curricular activities, volunteer work, and/or student leadership activities as demonstrated on the Engineering Extracurricular Involvement Questionnaire;
(4) have demonstrated financial need on the standard University of Manitoba bursary application form.

Recipients may hold this award once.

In any year the annual contribution supporting this bursary is not approved by the MHPEA, they must notify the Financial Aid and Awards office in writing by no later than March 31.

The selection committee will be the Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards Committee of the Faculty of Engineering.
