AECOM has offered to give to the University of Manitoba an annuity sufficient to provide an annual scholarship of $1,500 in the Faculty of Engineering. This scholarship will be offered to an undergraduate student who:
(1) is enrolled full-time (minimum 80% course load) in the third year of study of either the Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba;
(2) is a citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada;
(3) has achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.50;
(4) has demonstrated academic distinction, diversity of interests and potential for leadership in the engineering profession.
Students will be required to provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) to demonstrate how they have met criteria (4). If there are no suitable candidates who meet all of the selection criteria, the award can be offered to the student that meets criteria’s (1) through (3).
The selection committee will be the Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards Committee of the Faculty of Engineering.
The Board of Governors of the University of Manitoba has the right to modify the terms of this award if, because of changed conditions, it becomes necessary to do so. Such modification shall conform as closely as possible to the expressed intention of the donor in establishing the award.
