Concrete Manitoba Scholarship
Concrete Manitoba established an endowment fund at the University of Manitoba in 2012, of $10,000. The Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative made a matching contribution to the fund. The purpose of the fund is to reward the academic achievements of undergraduate students pursuing studies in the Department of Civil Engineering who have demonstrated an interest in concrete technology studies.

Beginning in the 2016/17 academic year, the available annual income from the fund will be used to offer one scholarship to a University of Manitoba, Faculty of Engineering undergraduate student who:

(1) is a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident;
(2) is enrolled full time (minimum 80% course load) in the 3rd or 4th year of study in the Civil Engineering program;
(3) has achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.5;
(4) has received a passing grade in the Civil Engineering Materials course (currently CIVL 2770);
(5) has submitted a statement (maximum 250 words) describing his/her interest in concrete technology studies.

Preference will be given to students who have graduated from a high school in Manitoba.
